Delighted to welcome some new bloggers to the party this week and I have either shared their about page or a recent blog post.
Meet Annika Perry – Writing has been a passion since childhood although it is only in the past year that I have seriously started to write fiction.
In Spring 2014 I won First Prize in the Writing Magazine Short Story Competition which was a joy. Furthermore, I was short-listed for Inktears Short Story Competition in 2014.
The recognition of my writing ability outside of my family and friends was a huge boost to my self-confidence and as a result I started the mammoth undertaking of writing my first novel. I completed the manuscript early 2016 and am now in the process of editing the book before deciding which way to seek publication.
Here is one of Annika’s latest posts which follows a day at the British seaside. https://annikaperry.com/2016/07/10/strike-day/
Meet Nandini – I’m Nandini, from and living in Bangalore, India, for 21 years now. I’m very passionate about books and writing.
Here on the blog you will find posts on books, books and more books, be it on writing or reading them, and some of my personal opinions that I can’t help but impose on the world. I post on three days a week, generally – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Monday Musings – My thoughts on anything and everything.
Vocab Wednesdays – ‘Cuz every good writer needs it. Anyone preparing for GRE too, I suppose.
Fictional Fridays – Fiction has always fascinated and inspired me. This is a collection of my writings, thoughts on other books and related content.
Here is one of Nandini’s Fictional Friday’s .. especially if you are A Lord of the Rings fan. https://pagesthatrustle.wordpress.com/2016/07/08/fictional-fridays-17/#more-2331
Wanda Luthman – has her Masters of Arts in both Mental Health Counseling and Guidance Counseling from Rollins College located in beautiful Winter Park, Florida. She worked at a local Community Mental Health Center for 10 years before transferring to the Public School System as a Guidance Counselor. She’s worked at a High School for the past 18 years. She has also been an Adjunct Professor at the local Community College and worked with teens who had lost a loved one through Hospice. She has always loved reading and writing and wrote many books and poems as a child growing up in Missouri.
Wanda is the author of three children’s books A Turtle’s Magical Adventure, The Lilac Princess and Little Birdie Grows Up.

Meet Patrisyam M. – I am a non- native speaker of English, currently living and working in Dubai (moving soon to Izmir, Turkey). I love books I reviewing them gives me so much pleasure. Sometimes I discuss particular topics from books I read. You might find my reviews too long. If I believe that a book deserves attention I do not have words limit. I read mostly non- fiction, historical fiction, crime fiction and classics. I do not mind other genres, but romance is definitely not for me. Occasionally, I will post my thoughts on politics and history.
One of my favorite book quotes is “I read a book one day and my whole life was changed” by Orhan Pamuk. I truly believe books have a power to change lives. I have read really good books that actually have changed me, my believes and perception of the world around me.
Here is a recent post with quotes from Charles Dickens: https://patrisyam.wordpress.com/2016/07/12/thats-what-charles-dickens-said/
518 Song of My People – This is the story of a town that has no identity. It’s one unspoken treasure is a diverse array of people, who bring with them their memories and cultures. They bring with them their culture, although this city doesn’t have its own. They come to this place seeking more than what the world has given and in this city they’re given a chance to grow. They want more than to squirm along, as if life is a meaningless fight for survival. The world tries to make them into something else; this place accepts them for who they are, because this place is essentially nothing. We all want to belong. This is a place of refuge for people who have nowhere else to go.
Here is a post on one of the inhabitants of the town that has no identity.

Michele Vecchitto – is a wife, mother, and middle school teacher. She has written a blog for two e-commerce sites, as well as completing works of poetry, and novels. She continues to hone her craft simply to breathe life into the stories living in the corners of her mind. When she’s not lost in her writing, Michele can be found indulging in the cuisine of her chef/husband, Mark, or delighting in the antics of their three crazy dogs and Ninja cat.
Here is an example of Michele’s poetry.

Thanks. I am happy you liked it. I was also thinking that one day I will have my own book published.

That is a great idea and you can always begin with ten of your best short stories as a collection. That would be a good way for people to discover your writing and build your reputation as an author. Keep it up. Sally

Hi Sibananda.. you have some amazing photographs.. and they are easy to share. There are some excellent blogging information sites that I found useful when I began and I suggest that you look at some of the best photograpy sites on wordpress and see how they present both their photographs and their text. I can recommend https://cindyknoke.com/2017/02/07/los-toros-del-mar/ – Sometimes with great photographs you can let them speak for themselves. best wishes
