About Smorgasbord - Variety is the Spice of Life.

My name is Sally Cronin and I am doing what I love.. Writing. Books, short stories, Haiku and blog posts. My previous jobs are only relevant in as much as they have gifted me with a wonderful filing cabinet of memories and experiences which are very useful when putting pen to paper. I move between non-fiction health books and posts and fairy stories, romance and humour. I love variety which is why I called my blog Smorgasbord Invitation and you will find a wide range of subjects. You can find the whole story here. • There is considerable research that Alzheimer’s is a form of diabetes. It is interesting that alcoholics can develop vascular dementia where plaque builds up in the brain.. Our bodies managed for many thousands of years without refined sugar and it is only in the last 350 years that we have had it readily available.. not enough time to regard as non-toxic. Thanks Susan.

  1. I know that some of the oncologists here in South Africa tell their patients not to eat products containing sugar. My Mom’s doctor was not one who did say this but we do try not to overdue the sugar in our every day consumption. A lot of my baked goods go to charities just in case you wondered.
