Odd Jobs and Characters – The Shoe Department – Hosted by D.G. Kaye

You will find all the episodes to date in this directory which includes my jobs along the seafront and two posts at the dental surgery: https://smorgasbordinvitation.wordpress.com/sallys-odd-jobs-and-characters/ This week I handed the next episode to D.G. Kaye (Debby Gies) who added some accessories to the Shoe Department in the form of a wonderful intro and the story Xenia which is from the new collection. One of the most difficult stories that I have written as it is very close to my heart. My thanks to Debby for making me feel like visiting royalty… so touched and grateful.

About Smorgasbord - Variety is the Spice of Life.

My name is Sally Cronin and I am doing what I love.. Writing. Books, short stories, Haiku and blog posts. My previous jobs are only relevant in as much as they have gifted me with a wonderful filing cabinet of memories and experiences which are very useful when putting pen to paper. I move between non-fiction health books and posts and fairy stories, romance and humour. I love variety which is why I called my blog Smorgasbord Invitation and you will find a wide range of subjects. You can find the whole story here. 1. I remember as a child in England being fitted for a pair of shoes and always having my feet
X-rayed by the salesman. I loved the idea of seeing the bones of my feet. You are very lucky that you saw the dangers of this procedure and chose other means for size verification. The regular users of this ‘technology’ are all dead. I loved your reminisce of a bygone age.
