Great treat today to be the guest of The Story Reading Ape for the next in my series of Odd Jobs and characters.. In this post I am the landlady of a pub in Cowes on the Isle of Wight at a time when skinheads enjoyed booze cruises and making mischief…
Cheers was NOT an accurate representation of pub life, that’s for certain! Heavens to betsy.

Sally it is great to see this tale on Chris’ blog.Brilliant as always! I was going to say it is one of my favourites but every time I read one its my favourite. If you ever want to confuse me… put me in a room of your stories scattered over the floor and ask me to choose one!
