Something that you may have overlooked and yet you use everyday! Can you guess what marketing opportunity you might be missing out on?
I have sent 8000 emails to people since 1st of January 2015. Obviously some are to the same person but in essence that does not matter. ( I checked my archives.. check yours).
Everyone of my emails ends like this.

If you have read my series on media training and marketing you will know that I consider authors to be in business and that they have a product they are selling.
Your selling message should be on all your emails even to family and friends, especially if they have not bought your books yet!! Also very useful when you send emails that are forwarded as that spreads your message even further.
What do you have at the end of your emails?
- At the very least you should have your blog or website.
- The title of your most recent book and an Amazon link to buy it.
- Also a Twitter or Facebook link since new followers are also potential readers.
If you are not sure how to automatically attach a signature to your emails.
I am pretty old school and use a PC for my emails and Outlook Express. I will give you the instructions for automating your email signature on that platform but you can explore your own to find how to do so. I have a number of email addresses for personal and work and I have the same signature on all of them.
In your Outlook header you will find TOOLS – click and it will give you a menu – Account Settings – and this will bring up a menu on the left hand side.
Click on the envelope next to your email address and you will find another box will come up on the right hand side of the screen. And it will have a number of boxes – Default Identity etc and then you will see a large box – Signature Text.
Fill that box in with what you wish to put in your signature including links.
When you are happy – Press Okay.
If you are like me with a number of email addresses, go into each one and add your signature and then they will automatically be attached.
If you use another system and unsure of how to attach a signature or photo.. then Google it and I am sure someone will help you out.
