Quote Challenge Day Two
My thanks to Robbie Cheadle for nominating me for this challenge… I love a good quote and you can read Robbie’s first quote here. https://robbiesinspiration.wordpress.com/2017/10/29/quote-challenge-day-1/
Yesterday my quote was from Dorothy Parker and it was a poem War Song. I received that book when I needed a lot of encouragement to stay on a path I had chosen. That path led me to meet my husband David two years later and after about 16 years of marriage I thought that I should brush up my marital skills and bought this book…
Here is my next selection.
You can click the image to buy the book.
Relationship skills for lasting love… I had enjoyed John Gray’s book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and was very happy to have an MOT a few years along.
I particular enjoyed the section “Masculine Skills for listening without getting upset!”
A couple of quotes did make me chuckle ( well there were more than a couple actually).. well actually roll about on the floor laughing!
“For men, the home has traditionally been a vacation spot. For women, it is a major hub of activity!”
“A man must think about feelings before he talks about them, while a woman can feel, talk and think all at the same time.”
I did in reality do a little rethink after I read this book and perhaps I should read it again as we approach our 37th wedding anniversary this month.. you are never too old to take good advice.
It is customary to nominate three other bloggers to pick up the challenge.. knowing how busy you are I will not be offended if you cannot participate but it is an excuse to give your latest post a plug anyway.

Fantastic post, Sally. I have heard of that book [through Bridget Jones’ Diary] but never read it. The quotes are really funny.

I haven’t read the Mars/Venus books, Sally, but probably should. They sound full of hilarious “truths.”

There are some classics.. I felt like putting my pinny on and waiting for my man to come home from work with dinner on the table and the house pristine.. but David would keel over in shock.. I don’t let him read the book…. xxxx

Ha ha! My husband would have the same reaction. Life with a writer. *Sigh*
