Time to wind down for the week and no better way than with some exceptional humour from Madelyn Griffith-Haynie. It’s all about the upcoming holidays. Thanksgiving is not a holiday we celebrate as such in the UK but we have our own ways of celebrating life, family and love. These are very funny. #recommended
Things that inspire GRATITUDE

from the Friday Funnies SeriesQuick Intro before we get to the Funnies
Let me begin by wishing a sincere (though belated) Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends who celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday of every October – no doubt because the harvest comes earlier “up there.”
I hope it was joyful —
and that you can all finally button your pants again.Last year’s American Thanksgiving post started out sincerely and crept into funnies. Although most of us somehow made it through the year since last November’s election here in the used-to-be-good ole’ USA, I think we need a lot more humor to lift our spirits as we limp toward the New Year holding our collective breath.
So even if you’re rushing around hoping to be able…

Probably, Deb – but we can’t forget my secret hope that you’d send me that great black and white sweater in your photo – LOL.

LOL seriously? If you lived here I’d give it to you. I may have worn it twice! It’s actually a sweater dress. 🙂 ❤

Awwww. However, on me it would probably be a tight-tight sweater – lol – I’m taller than you are, I think – with broader shoulders, etc. It looks GREAT on you – and I have always loved the graphic look of black and white. Dig it out and wear it another time. For ME! 🙂

Lol you’re so funny! Well it’s cold enough to wear. And P.S. – everyone is taller than me ha ha ha.:) xxxxx

There are a few women who are taller that I am – but not many!

NOT unless I went back to coloring my hair, Deb. I’m growing out the white to see if I can get used to being a platinum blonde! Still deciding.

I did that six months ago… my hairdressing bill has certainly gone down and people say they like it… I do have it cut every few weeks to keep it in shape and it takes five minutes to blow dry instead of 30..♥

I LOVE your new look, Sally. I love the time I do not have to spend dealing with hair stuff, but I don’t love my look just yet. Workin’ on it.

My advice would be to trust your instincts to wait, Deb. I’m not sure if I can get used to my own change. Even though the color change was “sudden” (stress related), it took months to decide to let it grow out and then wait for it to do so.
The hair is a pretty color, but I’m not sure if it is ME. (Note – I wrote “the” hair not “my” hair – like it’s a wig.) That’s actually what it feels like — fake, not natural. Because I know how internalizing self-image works I’m giving it a year, but it may well be another color at the end of it.

Good on you for braving the change. No, I’m not ready to swallow that yet. So when you come to terms with it, I want to see a photo! 🙂 xx

Maybe – if I decide it doesn’t work for me, I won’t want reminders.

You’re a doll, Sally, to pass on Funnies about a holiday you don’t observe. Thank you. I am grateful for your support.
I agree that some pretty funny folks have come up with these cartoons that are worth a chuckle at human proclivities magnified byThanksgiving rituals – and I hope readers around the world are laughing *with* us and not AT us. LOL 🙂

My pleasure Madelyn, they are funnies about a celebrational ritual and we all have those. Anytime family comes together there is an opportunity for humour. hugs xxx
