Crossed Wires…

Something a little different from Carol Taylor… apart from being a whizz in the kitchen, Carol is also a fiction writer and here is one of her short stories in response to a prompt by Lorna and Gin and Lemonade. Mistaken Identity… fabulous story.

Retired? No one told me!

Mistaken Identity by Carol Ann Taylor.

Overloud music, bass thumping.

Girls…  So many girls and the drinks just kept coming.

“Come on guys, no more please, she will kill all of us if we are late tomorrow”

Sean’s eyes glazed over, he still couldn’t believe his luck, the most amazing girl in the world had said, Yes!

He was imagining her gliding down the aisle, a vision in white and all his.

“Come on!  You are slipping Sean, keep up, last night of freedom mate, make the most of it”

“Drink up!”

So he did one after another. Oh boy, am I going to have a stonker of a head in the morning.

“Wait till you see what we have planned for you,” Jim said…
