It is always difficult when someone in our community that we are in contact regularly is going through a tough time. Vasti Quiroz-Vega has just undergone major surgery and all we could do was offer encouragement and send best wishes. Thankfully after a setback, she is well on the road to recovery. I am reblogging her first post because I think it is important for all of us to remember that we may not be in physical contact with each other but we can all still support one another as much as possible. Hello, everyone. A very warm welcome to my blog.
Maya Angelou is a poet I admire greatly. I love her quote:
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
That quote is one of my favorites because it’s so true. There are people I will always remember fondly. I may not remember every word uttered between us but I do remember the good feelings they brought out in me. Sometimes people underestimate the power of a kind word or gesture. But I know it could change someone’s life. I am so grateful for all the kindness shown to me during this difficult time.
