Smorgasbord Poetry – Colleen Chesebro’s Tuesday #Poetry Challenge 120 – ‘Freezing and Tempest’ Sally Cronin

This week I thought I would explore another of the formats that Colleen Chesebro has introduced us to.  A Butterfly Cinquain

I am really enjoying finding out more about these forms of poetry and it is a great exercise for both mind and syllables. I hope that if you have not participated that you will now.

Anyway here is my attempt at a Butterfly Cinquain… and this weeks prompts were ‘Cold and Storm’ and I have used the synonyms ‘Freezing and Tempest’

Freezing

the wind strips bare

branches of stubborn leaves

and now naked trees stand forlorn

waiting

for magical buds to appear

when the tempest has passed

and sun returns

to warm

I hope you will head over and participate in this fantastic Challenge Thanks for dropping by.. Sally.
