I’m too much of a hedonist to completely cut anything out. What’s the need, unless you have a Nun-like personality or are HUGELY overweight.?! I’m short but under ten stone. Just cut down, like wot I do…..Hugs xx
There you go Joy… a woman after my own heart when it comes to food.. but perhaps Facebook for 40 days might be considered a suitable alternative!!! ugsx
Thank you for the reblog, Sally and any suggestions from anyone as to what I can name my sourdough starter would be gratefully received…I was thinking Matilda?
Grudges. It’s been my Lenten choice for several years since grudges slip into one’s behavior if not isolated, examined, and dealt with in a timely, systematic way. Giving up chocolate or television is children’s stuff, and leaves you less spiritually refreshed.
Grudges tend to hurt no one but the person holding them. I had one that lasted over 40 years – the one I worked on for Lent the first time I chose that for Lent – and it consumed me! I definitely felt liberated after that first Lent dealing with that one grudge.
