Smorgasbord Poetry – Colleen Chesebro’s Weekly #Poetry Challenge -#Haibun – I Wander down Memory Lane by Sally Cronin

Time does fly when you are having fun, and I cannot believe it is Wednesday already and time to give syllables their marching orders for Colleen’s Tuesday Poetry Challenge 129

This week we have to use synonyms for Colleen’s prompt words..’Hobby and Play‘… I have used ‘Pastime and Frolic’ in my Haibun.

I Wander Down Memory Lane #Haibun

I wander down my memory lanes, searching for a distraction. It is a pleasant pastime to dredge up events and people from distant years. To remember the childish laughter, to frolic again in summer sun and winter snow. I strive to recapture that love of life and sense of fun. And there it is. I am ready to face the real world again.

Life is a circle
Seasons come and seasons go
back to whence we came

  3. Beautiful Haibun, Sally! This is one of the reasons I have always loved writing and photography and with the advent of companies like Mixbook and Shutterfly we can make photo books and write captions, quotes, and poetry to really capture a moment in time, so that we can relive these precious moments later. I have made a bunch of them already. 😉 ❤
