Over the next two weeks I will be featuring the contributors to this anthology of true and significant events. Writers share intimate and life changing events in their lives with courage and honesty whilst inspiring others.
The proceeds from this anthology will be going to Cancer Research and it is a very worthy cause.
Over the next week I will be posing a number of author profiles of those who have contributed and I hope that you will follow those authors and also support their work in this collection.
About the anthology
The following authors and bloggers kindly answered questions posed by Stevie Turner regarding significant life experiences they had undergone. These events include sexual abuse, a near death experience, alcoholism, being diagnosed with cancer, depression, losing weight, getting married, being a mother to many children, being the daughter of a narcissistic mother, and many more!
In the first post I featured compiler of the anthology and contributor Stevie Turner and Debbie Gies..and here is the link: Contributors Part One
All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research:
You can buy the anthology for only 99c: https://www.amazon.com/UNDERSTANDING-Anthology-True-Significant-Events-ebook/dp/B07Q5NLHRZ
And on Amazon UK for 99p: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UNDERSTANDING-Anthology-True-Significant-Events-ebook/dp/B07Q5NLHRZ
More of the contributors.
The first author in the anthology is Alienora Browning (Alienora Taylor) who shares the pattern of sexual abuse that she suffered during her marriage.
About Alienora
Since December 2014, I have published five novels. Two are humorous – and one of those is erotic as well; one is based upon the life and death of Virginia Woolf; the fourth is the first volume of a series of short pieces based upon my experiences as an initiate of the Western Mystery Tradition and the fifth deals with the relationship between landscape and mankind.
Quite a variety, you might say – and you would be right!
I am a passionate writer – and have been since I was eight (nearly fifty years ago) – and, although I taught English at secondary school level for thirty years, writing was what I really wanted to be doing…
…and now I am a full time writer!

The next author in the anthology is poet Dorinda Duclos who shares a near death experience when she was 23 years old.
About Dorinda
Dorinda Duclos is a writer of poetry, sharing her life experiences in verse. She is also the author of the blog, Night Owl Poetry, and has amassed a following of fellow poets, writers and artists, and is highly recognized in social media. She is a member of the Poetry Society of America and the Academy of American Poets, as well as a guest writer on PoetsCornerBlog.wordpress.com
She was also involved in “Poets for Peace”, a collaboration of poems from poets around the world. This collaboration is now archived in the ‘Stanford University Archive’ of the ‘100,000 Poets for Change’ collection!
A wife and mother of two, Dorinda makes her home in northern New Jersey, surrounded by wildlife, and nature’s beauty, all inspiration for her poetry.

The next contributor is Scarlett Flame who shares the joys of motherhood to six boys…
About Scarlett
I am a qualified Children’s Nurse, and have a degree and PgDip (Masters qualification), so probably not someone you would expect to write erotica. Although born in Salford I reside in Manchester, England and proud to be a Lancashire Lass.
I love to read and write, but only started writing seriously about three years ago. Singing is a particular pastime I enjoy, listening, as well as singing myself. This is why you are likely to find me attending gigs, and enjoying the Indie bands that abound in Manchester. These perform in general in an area of Manchester called the Northern Quarter.
I am an avid reader and writer, and share my reviews of books, gigs and my adventures (when I have them) on my Blog. So, please visit often. I was also awarded Blogger of the Year 2014 by Skelat. I am very proud of that achievement.

Hello Sally,
Would I be qualified to contribute my miraculous recovery from thirty years of depression and anxiety? I’m slowly and gradually working on rebuilding my creative, sometimes adventurous lifestyle, and encouraging and inspiring those who suffer mentally, in any way I can.
I’m also slowly, with the help of my brilliant Husband, editing my way through my epic western novel!
I feel strongly about cancer, have had several friends succumb to it and have family being treated through it, so anything that helps that cause is applaudable.
Please let me know. 😊
