Sally’s Cafe and Bookstore – New Book on the Shelves – The Adventures of Little Miss HISTORY, Volume I: Adventure Books for All Ages by Barbara Ann Mojica

A new author to the Cafe and Bookstore with her books… Barbara Ann Mojica and her latest release in the Little Miss HISTORY book series, which is a compilation of three of the adventures in NYC. The Adventures of Little Miss HISTORY, Volume I: Adventure Books for All Ages

About Volume 1 of The Adventures of Little Miss HISTORY

Little Miss HISTORY has packed three of her NYC adventures into one exciting book. Visit the STATUE of LIBERTY the symbol of hope and promise for the immigrants who passed it on their way to fulfilling their dreams as they awaited inspection on ELLIS ISLAND. Then journey up the Hudson River to the USS INTREPID to witness and explore hands on one ship’s amazing history in WW II, the Vietnam War, the space age, and the war on terrorism. Hold on to your hats for a rollicking ride back into the nineteenth and twentieth centuries with Little Miss HISTORY!

One of the early reviews for the book

History can be dusty and boring. Not in this book, though. Writer Barbara Ann Mojica and illustrator Victor Ramon Mojica and have created a book that is interesting and accessible for readers. The storytelling is clear, the illustrations are attractive and appealing, and the approach of having Little Miss History as both tour guide and (sometimes humorous) participant helps make the story accessible.

Passion for history? Then this is the right book. The author certainly has a passion for teaching children history. This three-volume set takes children on a worldwide historic trip to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, and is full of facts and details related to them. It is certain to entertain curious and knowledge-thirsty young minds. I would encourage children who love history and want to know about history-related sites and events to read this book.

  2. I never liked history in school. I wish there would have been fun books like these when I was growing up because I now realize how interesting history actually is because I homeschool my kids. I am learning more about history now than I ever remembered in school! We used the coloring book from this series in our homeschool.
