One of the recent reviews for the book
Israel DrazinTop Contributor: Children’s Books TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE 5.0 out of 5 starsVery clever book that kids will thrill to read June 24, 2019
Caroline Grace’s “Pixie and the Green Box Mystery,” with illustrations by Encarna Dorado, is great. It is wonderfully clever. While designed for children, who I am sure will be thrilled with the book, I enjoyed every page despite being 83 years old. The book is so good that it will be hard for kids to put it down. By combining fairy tale characters from different books and having them act in unusual ways, the book will cause kids to think about items they thought they understood, and this is good.
Pixie, an almost nine-year-old second grader, loved reading books, and loved going to the library with her mom and bringing home a pile of them. She especially liked fairy tales.
One day while at the library she was reading a green book that strangely told about Princess Cinderella walking in the woods when she came across a White Rabbit in a panic. “Oh my whiskers, I’m late,” the rabbit gasped.
Someone tapped her on the shoulder. She said she was Cindi. “How dare she!” Cindi snapped her foot. “They do not belong in that book.” Then, before Pixie’s eyes, the strange girl jumped into the book to set matters straight.
Children will be intrigued to learn what the bad librarian is doing and how Pixie tries to get the fairy tale characters in the right books.
Besides the very clever nine-chapter story, this book has three pages that define words “you may not know,” five activities children can do, and a recipe for a delicious Apple Log.

Thank you… I began reading all the children’s books with my little reader when she was younger. It’s through our experiences, Pixie was created. And not to mention the magical things we uncovered at our local library.

As a children’s writer, the easy part is writing the book. It’s the marketing and getting the word out that I’m working on. When the second book in the series comes out, I think this will help move my story along.
