Atonement Tennessee is an imaginative romp told through the eyes of the main protagonist, Esmeralda (Ralda), and her cat, Lilith. The author jumps back and forth between them as she takes the reader along on this magical fantasy.

The richly developed characters are fascinating and carry the story along in a creative way enabling the reader to become invested in their outcome. There is a large old house Esmeralda purchases that harbors a ghost from the past, a florist who has a magical way with flowers, a neighbor who is not just a man but also a bird with powers, and other characters who add color to this enjoyable story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the manner in which the author created the easy flowing prose as the story is told through Ralda and Lilith.
