Muchas gracias, Sally. I’m a devoted fan…(Don’t tell anyone…but there’ a little bit of that in a few men I’ve known! No names mind…) Hugs xx

That was HILARIOUS, Sally. I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve seen this performer, but she nailed it! I got an extra loud laugh from her use of Yasser Arafat in her poem—I have to imagine that is the only poem with his name in it.
One of the other things I thought of at the beginning of her act was the adjustment that couples must make upon retiring. My wife, Debbie, was also a career educator, and we retired the same year. The two most commonly asked questions are— 1. What do you do all day? 2. Are you driving each other crazy yet? Both of those questions make me laugh, and I’m happy to report that we still get along fine. (In fact, 33 years of marriage today) One of the essential things for us is that we spend a lot of time together, but we still give each other plenty of space.

Congratulations Pete.. Happy Anniversary.. We went through this slightly earlier at 50 and we both retrained at careers we can do until we pop our clogs.. we work side by side and we manage to get on with our own agendas and enjoy the things we do together. A shared sense of humour does help..x

I’ve adored Pam Ayres since she was first discovered. I think of her brilliant ‘I wish I’d looked after me teeth’ every time my dentist scrapes at another nerve under the plaque.
