Love all of these! My favorite on the list is probably Staying Alive. That opening sequence with him walking to that Bee Gee’s beat is unforgettable. 🙂

I know and that film came at a critical time for me in my late 20s and the music and the film made me realise that there was life to be lived. xx

You picked some real gems, Sally. I used to work out to the soundtrack of Staying Alive. So many great high tempo songs.

I love Staying Alive but I really melted for The Wind Beneath My Wings sung to me by former students before I left my 23-year teaching job for a transition to teaching special education children.

Thanks Jim.. they say that memories of songs are the last thing to go.. perhaps because they hold such emotional context for us..

I remember playing Irish songs from my phone for my mom while she was in a nursing home. She may not have known who I was, but the songs brought a smile to her face and she would occasioanlly sing along with the tune. The mind is a fascinating thing.
