I think most of us have had some interesting shopping experiences during the virus and savvy shopper D.G. Kaye, Debby Gies shares here adventures this week, lucky finds, and tips on where to find what you need.
I had some luck this morning on my weekly shop. My pots have remained empty as all our garden centres are shut, but I walked in to Tesco to find they had a whole rack of pansies and other bedding plants.. Eureka…That will keep me busy for a couple of days.
The #Corona Diaries- Observations on my Recent Outing
I hadn’t been out for 2 weeks – the last time I bought groceries. I try to make my grocery runs last 10 days to 2 weeks before I have to go out again. And when I do, I plan a route to cover groceries, pharmacy and health food store. But our prescriptions are up in the burbs where we used to live, and I wasn’t feeling inspired enough to drive all the way up there, and knowing I have to go up there in the next few days anyway, I decided just to pop into my local independent pharmacy to pick up a a few things that couldn’t wait and I happened to luck into his freshly stocked boxes of masks and disposable gloves. He even had a small amount of N95 masks for sale. I felt like it was Christmas!

Wonderful posting. Until now we were not forced to wear masks, but next Monday it will begin. I bought a small package of medical masks. If so, I also want to look like a doctor in the operating room. I also have a few disposable scalpels.Lol Michael

Hurrah to be able to buy some masks! I am not a big fan (yet) of gloves. We are truly blessed —thanks to the labors of so many folks NOT working from home — to have anything (food, medical supplies, plants, etc.) to buy at all.

Now one also has a good reason to buy high-percentage alcohol. After all, there is a lack of disinfectants everywhere. 😉
