Smorgasbord Blogger Daily – Wednesday 27th January 2021 – #Coconutwater Carol Taylor, #Life Jane Sturgeon, #Release Stuart France and Sue Vincent.,

Welcome to a small selection of posts that I have enjoyed during the last few days.

The first post is from our resident food expert Carol Taylor who shares the multi-benefits of coconuts. As a long-time fan of coconut water, I discovered some new uses for this versatile exotic fruit’s juice.

Natural Cleansers…Green Coconuts… Water

I grew up knowing only the brown hairy coconuts with delicious meat inside…but none of the delicious water that I have grown to know and love…that changed when I first holidayed in Asia and now I am resident here I have had my own tree laden with beautiful Green Coconuts…

Coconut water is one of natures natural cleansers and can help rid the body of accumulated irritants, waste products and toxins.

Barley water, lemon juice, coconut water and bel sherbet are also very effective liver tonics, says Shashibala, senior consultant, Ayurveda, Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi. Jun 2, 2009.

Today I will be looking at Green Coconuts and the lovely healthy water which is inside them.

Now for a lovely post by Jane Sturgeon where she reflects on life… as she and her mother share the task of finding homes of her father’s treasured belongings and Jane crosses paths with those in need of human kindness.

Drops of loving energy…

In need of some fresh air, I set out in the cold and wet to buy a few groceries from the local store. As I waited in the distanced queue, an elderly gentleman in a cloth cap paused at the doors and waved at the checkout lass who was looking after us all. She was busy serving and didn’t see him, so he talked to me. I couldn’t hear him through his mask and I hope he could see the smiling eyes above mine and my hand reaching out towards him, without touching. I was next in line and told the lass as soon as I got near and pointed towards the gentlemen as we watched his back go through the doors. She knew him and shared how they always chat and how this is the only human contact he has at the moment. I mentioned how smart he looked with his shoes polished to a high shine. I choked up and couldn’t speak. I looked at her plastic face shield decorated with unicorn and star stickers and our eyes locked as we both paused for a few moments till I had recovered.

And last but not least news from Sue Vincent and Stuart France about their latest release.

Finding Don and Wen ~ Stuart France and Sue Vincent

Dear Don,

Whoo hoo! Finding Don & Wen is now live!

I really enjoyed getting this one put together. Who would have thought it would work out quite so well?

Can you believe how much stuff we were already working with, right back at the beginning? And we understood so little… but every quest has to start somewhere, even before you realise what is happening.

  1. Thank you very much for sharing the news of our newest book, Sally! Jane’s was a lovely post. Now I’m heading over to Carol’s as pressed coconut water seems to be helping with some of my problems and I’d like to learn more. xx
