Welcome to the round up of post you might have missed this week on Smorgasbord..
I hope everyone is doing okay.. I know that in the UK there has been an upsurge in cases and that the full June 21st reopening is looking a little uncertain at the moment. Hopefully the vaccination roll out there will help prevent more deaths despite the increased cases and weddings, celebrations and a resuming of as normal a life as possible is in the near future.
I had the Johnson one shot on 27th May and fingers crossed have not suffered any side effects. It was a 100 mile round trip but worth it to get it over in one go and protection after four weeks. We are now waiting for David to get his shot, unfortunately the Johnson jab is in short supply until the end of this month but the Astra Zeneca is still available. Our cases have been going up too and have hovered around the 400/500 mark which is too high for a population of only 5 million. We shall see how we do.
I have managed to get some time in the sun this week and read and listened to music. We might get a little more next week.. fingers crossed.
As always my thanks to William Price King, Debby Gies and Malcolm Allen for their contributions and support this week. The blog would not be the same without them.
Thanks to you as well for visiting, liking, commenting and sharing.. it keeps me motivated.

Thanks for another wonderful week and always for the mention Sal. So glad you got vaxed and hoping D gets his real soon! Wow, 500 cases of 5 million, I think you’re still lower than here. Who knows, it’s like a menagerie already lol. Just please let us all get on with the living – and the sunshine! ❤

Glad you had no side effects from your shot, Sally. Nice to have only deal with one. Hope your husband gets his soon. Our area is still higher rates that our state but things are opening up. With our shots behind us, we will venture to the ocean again in a week. Thanks for another great week and including me in it . Xo

Pleasure Denise and it will be nice to know that we have a level of protection.. I doubt I shall be going without my mask however anytime soon..hugsx

I don’t think we should rush into opening either our borders or businesses (though they are suffering horribly), it’s too soon.
Glad you were able to get vaccinated, hopefully David gets his soon, as well {{hugs}}

A bit ahead of the curve here. We’re flying out tomorrow for 2nd post-vaccination trip for a family reunion. I suspect that I won’t be blogging much for the next week, but we’ll have to see how this all plays out. I hope David does well with his vaccination. Sadly, one of our neighbors, a guy who comes from a strong anti-vax position, is in ICU right now. Thanks for another great week, Sally.

Have a wonderful time and safe travels Pete.. look forward to hearing about the reunion on your return. I hope your neighbour recovers soon and perhaps he will then be an advocate for the vaccines.. hugsx

Another fabulous week, Sally..thank you for the inclusion…That was some round trip to get a vaccination but it’s good to hear no side effects I hope David gets his soon. It seems cases are on the increase in a few places the virus doesn’t seem as if it’s going anywhere anytime soon..I just wish it was all done and dusted it also sounds like these vaccines are going to be an annual thing like the flu jab…Scheduled to share tomorrow Hugs xx

That’s interesting to hear mixing vaccines I agree with masks for some to come although many here have always worn masks anyway it seems to be more of the norm in Asia than western countries. Thank in advance for including me in tomorrows blogger daily, Sally…Hugs xx
