Delighted to share the news of Allan Hudson’s latest release earlier in August which will join his other books on the shelves of the Cafe. Vigilantes: A Drake Alexander Adventure
About the book
The master vintner at Chateau Lambert Estates, Jean-Paul Chouinard, stares up the rise at the family cemetery, where the darling of the house was laid to rest yesterday. The grave site is surrounded by four men and a woman. The people whose service Mireille Lambert was in when she died. One of them was her lover. One of them is Drake Alexander.
Chouinard knows what they do. He knows who Alexander is. He hears the whispers. Vigilantes.
He grieves knowing the brothers who are responsible for his daughter’s death twenty years ago have not been apprehended. Maybe it’s been too long. Maybe the brothers are already dead. Maybe, if he asked, Alexander and his people could find them.

A recent review for Shattered Lives
Jo Naylor has escaped the fall out from her last case as a detective, hoping to find peace and oblivion in Thailand. She misses her old life and her detective partner but is solidly determined to enjoy her freedom.
But fate has a way of sticking its nose into our lives and it isn’t long before her detective hat is back on her head, prompted by the surprise arrival of her old partner, Adam Thorne.
But if he thinks he can get Jo to come back with him, he is out of luck. Jo has the taste of freedom now, and there’s no going back…
I don’t think this will be the last we see of Jo Naylor!

Vigilantes sounds good, Sally. I can only imagine what drives people to find their own justice. I’m wondering about the father…
