Smorgasbord Cafe and Bookstore – New Author on the Shelves – #Romance Christmas at the Leaves of Change Café: Book 1 in the Leaves of Change Cafe Series by Sarah L. Campbell

Delighted to welcome Sarah L. Campbell to the Cafe and Bookstore with her books. Today I am featuring the first novella in The Leaves of Change Cafe Series: Christmas at the Leaves of Change Café.

About the book.

Christmas Romance Novella – the first of a series set in the small town of Green Leaf. Sometimes in order to move forward, you must first confront the past, as Aurora is about to discover. Separated from her famous husband and about to have his baby, she returns home to Green Leaf. Immediately clashing with Mum, Catherine (owner of the Leaves of Change Café), Aurora begins to wonder if she’s made a mistake. Her financial situation means they are stuck with each other. A secret between them resurfaces. Maybe, if her mum will finally tell her the truth, they can patch up their relationship?
Bumping into her teenage boyfriend, Michael stirs up some unsettling memories for Aurora. Worse still, he’s now running the bookshop next door to the café. They become friends, but is there hope of the pair rekindling their romance? Old friend Rachel reminds her of the girl she used to be and offers her some sage advice. What about her estranged husband, Nick? Will he ruin everything when he shows up? Or will Aurora be able to turn over a new leaf and make a fresh start once and for all?

Series information:

The Leaves of Change Café series is set in the fictional town of Green Leaf. It follows the life of Aurora Hope, daughter of the Café owner. In book one Aurora returns after a twenty-year absence, heavily pregnant. She meets old friends and is forced to confront the past and family conflict. A past love resurfaces bringing up painful memories. Can they reconcile? The subsequent books will follow Aurora as she tries to make her life in Green Leaf with her baby and her relationship with Michael. In book two, her Mum has some big news for her that could change her life…

About Sarah L. Campbell

After completing a variety of roles including working in libraries, the theatre and even training to be a teacher, I settled on writing in my early thirties. I decided that self-publishing was the right route for me and set about writing my first ever story, a children’s book about a muddled fairy. Since then, I’ve self-published 4 more children’s stories and a teenage novel. I have written two books so far in the Leaves of Change Café Series.

I live in the northeast of England with my family and our beloved cat Louie, a one-time stray now king of the castle. When I’m not at home trying to work with the cat on my knee, I love meeting friends for a coffee and having a good old natter, or visiting somewhere new, like an historic house or museum.

If you enjoyed reading one of my books please leave a review.

Thanks for dropping in today and it would be great if you could share Sarah’s books… thanks Sally.

  1. Congratulations to this new book, and for the writing career! Sounds like a very interesting story, as least the best for distraction. With a coffee and some sweeties around totally amazing. Thanks for the information, Sally! Definitely the first book for the colder season, starting soon. xx Michael
