  17. Love Pam Ayres. She grew up in a village (Stanford in the Vale) near where we lived for 40 years(when in UK). Saw her about 3 years ago in Wantage in her one-woman show. Hilarious. She had to cut it short as her brother was dying in a nearby hospice and she rushed off to visit him. So talented. The memoir of her time as a typist in Singapore is hilarious, also her Saturday night visits into Wantage to go to the dances. If you have not read it, do. I cannot find the title at the moment, sorry.
