The first author with recent reviews for her children’s book is Deanie Humphrys-Dunne.. A Tractor Named Wilbur. Illustrations by Holly Humphrys -Bajaj

About the book

WILBUR is a small, shy tractor. He loves cutting the grass for Jim. But what happens when he must find a new home? Will Jim still be his friend? Who will the new owner be? WILBUR would love for you to take him home and read about his adventure. A Tractor Named Wilbur is the first in a fun series coming your way!

A recent review for the book

A really cute story! I had to smile often at the sweetness of it. Wilbur the tractor is much loved by his owner. An easy read with an important message for children about change and seeing the possibilities of new adventures. The reader could feel what it was like for Wilbur, the owner, and Hattie, the chicken through the author’s clever style of conversing. The questions at the end were a good idea to encourage children to remember what they read, and to help them express their thoughts when answering.

The next author with a recent review is Ruth Larrea for her book Fragments of a Dream: Is it too late for a second chance at love?

About the book

Is it too late for a second chance at love? Rosie doesn’t think so. When her marriage ends close to retirement, she plans to find Angelos, the charismatic young Athenian she fell for as a naive 19-year old. But will he remember her? Will he even want to see her after what happened between them?

There’s only one way to find out — go back to the Greek island of Hydra, in the hope that he still visits.

When at last he shows up, his reaction is not what she expected. He’s changed a lot, but so has she. As Rosie begins to understand him and his culture, she has to reassess her version of the past, confront her mistakes, and question her own values and choices.

A bittersweet story about relationships and cultural confusions that will make you laugh, cry and reflect on life’s complexities. Start reading today!

And finally a recent review for the latest addition to the Little Miss History series by Barbara Ann Mojica. – Little Miss HISTORY Travels to Hyde Park, Home of FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT: Presidential Library & Museum

About the book

Little Miss HISTORY loves to educate children by engaging with interesting and overlooked historical facts. Interest and insight into historical places or persons are maintained by this engaging character and her fun facts, of each book. Illustrations of Little Miss HISTORY are upbeat and lighthearted.

Little Miss History Travels to Hyde Park Home of FDR walks the reader through FDR’s private life within the confines of his home. As Little Miss HISTORY takes us through each room of this home, we become increasingly aware of FDR’s accomplishments and struggles.

One of the recent reviews for the book

Just like the other books in Mojica’s series, I truly love this book. Franklin D. Roosevelt is a historical forerunner who will always be found not only in the history books in our classrooms, but on the student’s standardized assessments as related to History – still today. Giving the students a glimpse of Hyde Park and the environment in which Roosevelt crafted many key decisions is nothing but phenomenal.

As pointed out in the book, Roosevelt was the President who redefined the role of government in the lives of citizens in our society. Whenever our children learn about Social Security, or minimum wage, they can attribute the onset of these benefits to none other than President Roosevelt.

I believe that through the reading of this great book, children everywhere can gain a jumpstart of their knowledge base, and learning from this books’ historical perspective.

I’d love to see copies of Mojica’s Hyde Parke, Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt on the shelves of every school library as well as personal home libraries throughout our nation.
