About the book
A shaman in the Amazon rainforest has a problem: children in his village are dying of an unknown ailment. When a large disc-shaped object falls from the sky onto a river bank, he enters the object through a gash in its wall.
A prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon is staying in the house of his pediatrician cousin, who is away for the weekend. He goes to sleep that night in the guest room and awakens the next morning lying on the ground in a jungle.
Thus begins a story of aliens, teleportation, and telepathy involving unwitting physicians, the Pentagon, international scientists, espionage agents, a Las Vegas gangster, and a psychic. A colorful cast of characters takes the reader on an exciting, and often amusing, journey from the Amazon jungle to southern California, and eventually to the NBC television studios in Manhattan. Side trips along the way include Moscow, Beijing, North Korea, Sao Paolo, Brazil, and the infamous Area 51 in Nevada.

When Beverly Hills plastic surgeon David Levy gets transported from his cousin’s apartment, he finds himself standing in the Amazonian jungle and faces a shaman desperate to have him help the village children who are dying, only to discover it is his cousin Aaron who is the doctor they need. David soon finds out aliens crashed their spaceship along the river and they were the ones responsible for transporting him.
DeBoer has a considerable amount of knowledge pertaining to the things he writes, as clearly seen in his book, Amazon, where he displays an incredible knowledge of medicine and military expertise.
Amazon is creative, and a fun romp from L.A. to the State of Tocantins, Brazil and has a wide cast of unique characters which include friendly aliens whom they name Blacky.
DeBoer is an excellent writer and is among the best of storytellers. I highly recommend reading DeBoer’s new book, Amazon.

If you pick up a camera and take a picture of anything that strikes your eyes, it doesn’t have to be a real object, or something with a meaning, just study that picture you took and you will see the reason why you immortalized that “something”. One day, I took a photo of a succulent plant in my garden, not because it was particularly beautiful, but because I was attracted by the yellow decorative butterfly light inside the pot and by the yellow ceramic piece outside the pot. This told me I was craving “Yellow Vibrations”. Going to the grocery shop, taking pictures of the flower bouquets in the store, and forgetting to buy food is not a common thing people do, but I did. Later, all those pictures of flowers gave me the idea for this book. My goal was to entice the readers to look at flower bouquets, or any flower composition in nature with new eyes and lead them to create their own alluring color scheme for any room in the house or office that carries a new excitement.
The book is full of beautiful photographs taken by me in various places in nature and in the stores. Nature is our best friend and companion, she always gives us the pleasure of beauty, harmony, and peace. This book focuses on how to take advantage of nature’s colors and turn them into doable solutions. The home has a spirit that will love you if you create an inspiring, healthy, vibrant home for the body, mind, and spirit. Everyone will feel comfortable in a home conceived with harmony and love will grow.Shall we start with the colors of flowers?

A recent review for the book
A great read which involves violence and betrayal. The author has done an awesome job in engaging the reader really well throughout the book, feels like you were right there in the moment! The characters were interesting and loved how it was based in Donegal, Ireland because I know someone who has family there too. Can’t wait to read more of this author!
