Judith Barrow has a new book out in January ‘Sisters’ that I am really looking forward to reading, and in this post Judith tells the story of two sisters who both in their way became famous in the 18th and 19th century writer Ann Hatton and actress Sarah Siddon.

Great list, Sally. As a K-18 teacher (do you see how I avoided preschool, Jennie’s area), I have always been let’s say intimidated by the youngest minds. My heart goes out to Jennie and others like her who teach these great kids with respect and competence.

Thanks Jacqui and I do think that being intimidated by the youngest minds offers great hope for the future… Since after 66 years I can still remember Mrs Miller my first teacher, I would say that it takes a special kind of person to imprint so clearly on a child’s mind. Merry Christmas. xx
