Smorgasbord Blog Magazine Bookshelf – New Book on the Shelves – #Suspense #Romance Tall Pines Sanctuary by Sharon K. Connell

Delighted to showcase the romantic suspense novel Tall Pines Sanctuary by Sharon K. Connell.

About the book

Twenty-four-year-old artist Faith O’Callaghan is convinced her grandfather’s death was not an accident. Gramps bequeathed his magnificent log cabin in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to her, and she loves living and painting in the quiet solitude and shadow of the Rocky Mountains. But Faith needs to find out what really happened to her beloved Gramps.

Faith’s fiancé, Josiah, has discharged from the Army after not hearing from her for months. She won’t answer any of his correspondence, and he doesn’t understand why. But he plans to get to the bottom of it.

Was Gramps’ death an accident, or murder? Will Josiah get his answers? Who is snooping around the cabin… and why?

Tension mounts in this Romantic Suspense with Mystery as the realization that not only Gramps’ prized golden medallion is missing, but so is the antique heirloom engagement ring Faith thought had been returned to Josiah. Then there’s the matter of the papers for her grandfather’s abandoned gold mine. Who has them?

Is there a Rocky Mountain, traditional Native American wedding in the future for Faith and Josiah… or heartache and danger?

One of the reviews for the book

Sharon’s latest book is a cracking read. I have a soft spot for second chance romances, and of course a good mystery. Tall Pines Sanctuary combines the best of both, along with God’s love. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the characters. Josiah is a great hero, who is respectful but persistent. Faith is a relatable heroine and I was rooting for their HEA. The mystery surrounding Faith’s grandfather had interesting elements of Native American heritage along with a healthy dose of danger! Lots of unexpected twists and turns and a satisfying ending.

About Sharon K. Connell

Sharon K. Connell was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Illinois, schooled in Illinois through College and Florida through Bible School, retired in Texas and enjoying every minute of it.

My time is spent doing a lot of things I’ve always wanted to have the time to do, including at least one or two hours daily writing stories about people who discover (as I have) that God will only allow those things into your life that will help you grow and/or increase your faith.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

At the age of twelve years old, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and have never been disappointed that I did. He has been with me throughout all trials and tribulations, most of which I brought on myself, and never once have I felt that He deserted me or doesn’t love me.

Humans, for the most part, have a way of convincing themselves that what they want is what God wants. Sometimes that’s true…but most often we have our own desires in mind and not our Lord’s.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3

And yet sometimes God lets us have our own way even when it’s not His Will. That’s what gets us into trouble. I speak from experience. Yet, the Lord has blessed me beyond measure and always forgives me when I come to Him, just as a child when going against his earthly parent’s will and then feeling sorry that he did. I’ve learned that He will never forsake me.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

In my writings, I’ve tried to bring out these truths. I hope that you will enjoy all that I’ve written, and it will be a blessing to you.

Thanks for dropping in today and I hope you are leaving with some books…Sally.
