Smorgasbord Blogger Weekly – #FoodSustainability Sue Dreamwalker, #Poetry Robbie Cheadle, #40th Jennie Fitzkee, #DogOwnership Thomas Wikman, #DesertB #Bighorns Cindy Knoke

A small selection of posts I have enjoyed this week and I hope you will head over to enjoy in full…

Sue Dreamwalker shares news of her allotment but also the future that may face us if more and more farmers struggle with challenges in several areas, including the weather with fields under water, supermarkets demanding perfection of shape in the produce they sell, and changing goal posts by governments. Sue also shares some of her lovely craftwork.

Robbie Cheadle shares three poems in a challenge catch up this week, and all reflect our changing world, including as above the challenges facing our food producers. There is a lovely photo of a baby elephant to remind us there are some things to celebrate.

Jennie Fitzkee is celebrating 40 years of teaching at the same school. That has to be something of a record. Imagine all the children now grown and parents themselves who have benefited from Jennie’s wonderful approach to teaching… Her colleagues created a wonderful tribute to her in 40 words.

Thomas Wikman highlights the measures The Leonberger Club of America (LCA) and the Leonberger community have put in place to ensure responsible and humane treatment, training and health of that dog breed. I hope that what they have put in place is copied by many others.

And last but certainly not least is a wonderful post from Cindy Knoke who as always brings nature up close and personal.. this week Desert Bighorns.

Thanks for dropping in today and I hope you will head over to enjoy these posts as much as I did.

  5. These are all great posts. I had read all of them previously except the post about the wonderful tribute to Jeannie. I am so grateful to all teachers. I would like to thank you Sally for including my post about the interview my wife went through in order for us to be allowed to own a Leonberger dog.
