Smorgasbord Posts from My Archives – Past Book Reviews from 2020 – #Romance – Perfectly Imperfect by Jacquie Biggar

I read some amazing books in 2020 and I would like to share them again with you, updated with the authors most recent releases and their biography.

This is my review from 2020 for the lovely romance from USA Today Bestselling author Jacquie Biggar and Perfectly Imperfect.

About the book

What happens when Miss Perfection clashes with Mr. Casual?
Chaos!

Georgina’s in trouble. The startup money she borrowed from her parents’ retirement fund is long gone and her dream of owning the next big thing in market-to-table cuisine disappeared with it.
Her only choice? Merge her company into the corporate giant, CLO, and hope she isn’t making a huge mistake.

Rhys Turner is his father’s progeny, born and raised to take over the empire when his dad deems him ready. Rhys doesn’t mind the fast-paced lifestyle, though he detests the coldblooded mantra of the corporation- Buy from the weak and sell at a profit.
It’s made his family millions. But now, just when CLO’s reins are within reach, he’s run into the one woman who could change everything.

A delightful mixture of women’s fiction, chick-lit, romantic comedy, and New adult, Perfectly Imperfect has something for every reader.

My review for the book December 11th 2020

What a wonderful romantic interlude and an escape from the daily headlines projecting doom and gloom. As always Jacquie Biggar has a deft touch when creating characters and the age old dance of falling in love.

Of course all is not plain sailing as two people with different business agendas meet with preconceived notions about each other’s intentions. But there is no doubt that the spark of attraction between them, is going to lead to more than an intense boardroom discussion.

The book also underlines the loyalty of friends, the complexity of a father and son relationships and becoming self-reliant.

And for dog lovers, there is a very cute rescue puppy pulling at the heart strings of everyone she comes into contact with. Highly recommended read to lift your spirits.

About Jacquie Biggar

Jacquie Biggar is a USA Today bestselling author of romance who loves to write about tough, alpha males and strong, contemporary women willing to show their men that true power comes from love. She lives on Vancouver Island with her husband and loves to hear from readers all over the world!

In her own words:

“My name is Jacquie Biggar. When I’m not acting like a total klutz I am a wife, mother of one, grandmother, and a butler to my calico cat.

My guilty pleasure are reality tv shows like Amazing Race and The Voice. I can be found every Monday night in my armchair plastered to the television laughing at Blake and Adam’s shenanigans.

I love to hang at the beach with DH (darling hubby) taking pictures or reading romance novels (what else?).

I have a slight Tim Hortons obsession, enjoy gardening, everything pink and talking to my friends.”
