Smorgasbord Bookshelf- New Book on the Shelves – #Western #Romance – Geller’s Find by Sandra Cox

Delighted to share the news of the latest release by Sandra Cox… a western romance Geller’s Find on pre-order until September 12th…

About the book

It’s summer break and Dr. Luke Geller, history prof and part-time archeologist is in Nevada looking for potsherds. What he discovers is an antique rifle and a portal in time.
Touching an ancient piece of Chiastolite crystal, the earth rumbles, the skies darken and the ground opens. He’s hurled straight to the core of the earth then shot back up and spewed out.

When he stumbles to his feet, he finds himself where he began. Same, yet different. There are no winding roads. No parking lots. No cars. No town with bright lights in the distance. Only Lily Winter Tremaine, an angry young woman pointing a gun at him, demanding he hand over her rifle.

All thoughts of primitive pottery disappear as Luke finds himself fighting alongside three young women trying to hold onto their ranch against a dangerous scoundrel who intends to have the ranch by whatever means possible. Then there’s the little fact that Luke’s mightily attracted to the young woman he’s working for. A woman old enough to be his great-great granny. And Miss Lily Winter Tremaine does not figure into any of tenured professor Luke Geller’s lesson plans.

One of the reviews for Mateo’s Blood Brother

I read Mateo’s Law two years ago. I remember thinking back then that this story was too good, the character’s relationships too complicated to be told in just one story… one book. I didn’t want it to end. And now with Mateo’s Blood Brother, we once again get to peek into the lives of Sheriff Mateo Grey, Deputy Chief Blair Delaney, Blackfeet Indian Reservation Chief of Police Jesse Kipp, and a wonderful cast of supporting characters.

The small town of Grizzly, Montana is a community where everyone knows each other, and all feel safe under the protective eye of Mateo and his law enforcement team. That is, until old man Jenkins, just shy of his one-hundredth birthday, was found dead with his throat ripped out. The townspeople believe he was most likely killed by a wolf, but Jesse and Mateo know the truth. Against all odds, an ominous figure from their past had returned to wreak havoc over the lives of the two men. Delilah, a powerful shifter, is seeking revenge on both of her former lovers and the people closest to them. Her presence and the destruction she will continue to cause need to be snuffed out quickly. Mateo, a shifter himself, thought Delilah had died the last time he’d tangled with her, only to now realize that she is stronger and more formidable than he ever imagined.

Author Sandra Cox has done a superb job giving us a book that, although a sequel, stands tall on its own. The characters are people you want to know, people you want to care about. The dialog is crisp, tender at times, and realistic, which compliments the story and moves it forward in a natural way. Love, hatred, betrayal, and revenge are all tightly woven into a plot that although paranormal, is written so well that it was easy for me to suspend my disbelief and just lose myself in the story. Cox is a damn good writer, and this is a damn good book. Now that she has two Mateo books under her belt, I hope she turns it into a series. I’m quite sure that Mateo Grey has a lot more stories to tell.
