Now something from Sally’s Joke book archives….
Inappropriately attired.
Be careful what you wear (or don’t wear), when working under your vehicle…especially in public.
From the Sydney Morning Herald, Australia comes this story of a central west couple who drove their car to a busy shopping centre only for their car to break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the problem.
The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis.
Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underwear turned private parts into glaringly public ones.
Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts and tucked everything back into place. On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by.
The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his head.
We hope you are leaving with a smile on your face… thanks Sally and Debby.

I recall an item on the Radio 4 Today programme. A Canadian vet (and dog owner) had conducted her own research using her own dogs. This revolved around how dogs had adapted to human behaviour and how deal with it.
She admitted it one part did sound a bit unfair.
Basically she would tell off her best behaved dog when they had done nothing wrong. At once they would turn on the big-eyes and sorrowful expression, and of course the telling off would stop.
The interview asked, laughing a bit:
‘So dogs have learnt how to play us?’
‘Exactly,’
They’ve got all they need up in those canine craniums!

Our rough collie Sam had it down to a fine art. When he arrived home at 8 weeks with a packet of food he had been eating since he was weaned. I was planning on slowly changing that to home cooked food I always prepared for our previous dogs. I put his pellet food he was provided down for his first meal and expected him to be hungry.. he just sat there and looked at it and then at me… so I gave him some home cooked I had already prepared and he gobbled it up immediately and never looked back.. 8 weeks old and he certainly knew how to manipulate us. He perfected that over the years he was with us.

Great stuff Maids of Mirth. I found that for some reason WordPress had dropped Sally’s blog from my list of follow. I did not get e-mails for I’m guessing a few days. I followed again and hopefully that ends the problem. Why does this happen? (Don’t worry I know you have no answer)

Thanks John. That is so weird, but not surprising because I’ve heard from a few, and have had various glitches myself for two weeks with WP. Hope it’s sorted now. 🙂
