Thanks for the overveiw of getting our books noticed on FB. I was intrigued by your mention that you don’t have a separate author page but use your personal account. I’m getting closer to hopping back on FB, and the post was helpful. 😀

Thanks Diana. my personal page was set up years ago and then when I set up my authors page I was followed by mostly the same people. Since Amazon gets peculiar about to much posting particularly of a promotional nature.. it was easier to become a member of specific groups that I can spread posts around between. This is important with the Cafe promotions which are frequent. It saves time if you can pop into three or four groups where bloggers and authors gather and browse their posts there rather than visit everyone individually. Hope that makes sense…hugs xx

An interesting observation, Sally, about switching to only using your personal page. I’m leaning more and more that direction. I do enjoy your groups!

Thanks Jan.. I just found I was duplicating everything twice or more in many cases and FB was driving me up the wall with all their machinations and changes…♥

Thank you for your insights into Facebook, Sally. I’m becoming increasingly disenchanted with it, and I’m hearing that Instagram is better for authors.

I think wherever you go it is about getting noticed and everywhere has millions of people wanting to do that. I don’t use instagram as they don’t use my phone online. I only use my desktop so I know I can walk away from it without it following me everywhere!. I think it is about finding out from others what works and trial and error.. and sharing experiences so we don’t keep trying to reinvent the wheel..so to speak…hugs

I don’t have Instagram on my phone either. I just figured out today how to post on Instagram using my PC. No phone involved! (It pays to Google.)
