Smorgasbord Blog Magazine Weekly Round Up – June 20th -26th 2022 – Garden, Roberta Flack, St. Barts, Culinary A-Z, Stories, Book Reviews, Bloggers, Health and Humour

Welcome to the round up of posts you might have missed during the week here on Smorgasbord.

A very wet and windy day which we are not unhappy about as we have had no rain for what seems a record 9 days!  Well there were a couple of quick showers which meant I didn’t have to water the pot plants on a couple of days but they don’t count!  I did get some quality sun and reading times in the back garden however and reviews to follow in coming weeks.

My planting efforts in the early spring are bearing fruit… so here are a few more flowers…which I hope will brighten your day.

Thanks as ever to three amazing contributors who make blogging even more of a pleasure.

William Price King joined me on The Breakfast show this week for the second part of the hits from 1997 and for the second part of the series about Roberta Flack. You can also find William – Blog– IMPROVISATION– William Price King on Tumblr

Debby Gies took us to St. Barts on Monday and found some great funnies to share. Over on her blog you can you can catch up with her posts including her book review for Bearing the Unbearable by Dr. Joanne Cacciatore, a very interesting Q&A with Sci-fi author Wendy Van Camp and holiday reading choices… what are yours? .. D.G. Kaye

Carol Taylor joined me on Wednesday with a repeat of her wonderful series A-Z of foods beginning with the letter A. Carol is in England for a month to visit her family but has left her blog well stocked. This week a recipe for jerked chicken and pineapple skewers, a look in the larder at vinegar, sauces and condiments, a close look at the mayonnaise we buy in a jar and Saturday Snippets with ‘Grace’ the theme.  You can find all her posts Carol Cooks2

  1. Nice wrap-up, Sally! Thanks for letting me join the party last week. I get a terrible migraine about once a year, which was yesterday. I finally had to go to bed and lock myself in a cool, dark room for 12 hours. I’ve emerged from my cocoon today and am playing catch-up.

  2. Beautiful flowers 🙂 I’m glad you got some summer rain. It passed us up which ended up being a good thing because it brought a lot of lightening with it. Thanks for another great week and including me in it xo hugs

  3. Beautiful flowers.
My garden is becoming a jungle and my front lawn a meadow.
I think I need to pay it some attention?
